Seven disabled sportspersons brought laurels to the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) by winning 14 medals, including four gold medals, in the 6th HP Para-Sports State Championship, held at Dharamsala. Vice-Chancellor Sikander Kumar congratulated the winners and assured to provide them facilities at par with other sportspersons. Babu Ram of the Hindi Department had won four medals, including a gold in discuss throw, a silver in shot-put, and bronze medals in power lifting and 100m race. Sukhveer Singh of the Archaeology Department secured a gold in long jump, and silver medals in javelin throw and 100m race. A sociology MA student, Panku Kumar, won gold in 100m race.
